The Brief

Unit 9 approached Farrows with a brief to establish its identity as a dynamic creative hub, housed within an eclectic industrial space. Hosting a mix of businesses—from beauticians to artists to baristas—Unit 9 needed a brand that not only reflected its personality but also stood out amidst the diverse enterprises it accommodated. The challenge was clear: create a brand identity that complemented the individual businesses while encapsulating the unique spirit of Unit 9 as a versatile creative space.

Our Approach:

Our approach was rooted in the distinctive character of Unit 9’s interiors, featuring chipboard, concrete, and breeze blocks. We drew inspiration from these raw and natural elements, infusing bold splashes of colour to evoke a powerful yet feminine aesthetic. The brand’s colour palette, paired with impactful typography, was meticulously crafted to resonate with the industrial-chic vibe of Unit 9. Our aim was not just to create a brand; it was to craft an iconic visual identity that spoke to the heart of Unit 9’s diverse offerings.

The Result:

The final brand identity positions Unit 9 as a versatile and dynamic creative hub, and attracts a diverse array of businesses and patrons, showcasing the fusion of raw industrial charm with vibrant creativity.
